Bitter Exes
Ingredients
1 oz Sobrii
¾ oz Cynar
½ oz Dillon's Sweet Vermouth
½ oz fresh grapefruit juice
¼ oz cinnamon syrup*
Grapefruit peel, to garnish
Cinnamon Syrup (Method from "Easy Tiki" by Chloe Frechette)
1 cup white sugar
1 cup water
16g cinnamon bark broken into pieces
Toast cinnamon bark briefly in small saucepan until fragrant (a few minutes).
Add sugar and water and bring just to a boil until sugar has dissolved.
Remove from heat and cool.
Strain into clean jar or bottle.

Method
Combine all ingredients in shaker with ice.
Shake vigorously 30 seconds.
Strain into chilled coupe.
Express grapefruit peel over drink and garnish.
